Master-Planned Community: TwinEagles

Master-Planned Community: TwinEagles

TwinEagles is a high-end golf community in Naples, Florida. Bonita Bay Group bought the property out of bankruptcy and began a new phase of development, marked by a broader range of product and the addition of a second championship golf course. The company also created a four-mile-long wildlife corridor that helped resolve litigation with environmental groups that contributed to the original owner’s bankruptcy. The first phase of the community includes a Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus II-designed golf course, a 47,000-square-foot clubhouse and state-of-the-art practice facility. It was the site for The ACE Group Classic, a Champions Tour event for five consecutive years. The second phase, Grand Arbors, features coach homes, villas and single-family homes overlooking lakes, nature preserves and the Gary Player-designed Aerie golf course. The community was named to Golf & Travel magazine’s list of the 12 Most Intriguing Golf Communities in America and received a top award from the Council for Sustainable Florida. The Club at TwinEagles is certified by Audubon International as a Signature Sanctuary.

The final phase of the TwinEagles community, including the club was sold to another developer in 2010.
